Senate Properties chooses Netox as its IT and cybersecurity services modernisation partner
Under the largest contract in Netox’s history, the company will provide the renewed Senate Group with integrated modern IT and cybersecurity services with the highest security classification.
After a tendering process that ended in June 2024, Netox was chosen to provide a comprehensive IT and cybersecurity upgrade package for Senate Properties.
“We’re extremely pleased with the trust that Senate Properties has placed in us. This contract, which is the largest in the history of our company, is a great opportunity to continue Netox’s impressive record of partnership with safety-critical operators,” Netox Senior Consultant Antti Lahokoski.
With this agreement, Senate Group’s basic IT, security systems and telecommunications services will be centralised under Netox’s responsibility.
“The choice was made through a public tender. We are responsible for state-owned facilities in all security situations, and our key requirements are security and cost-effectiveness,” says Senate Properties information management director Jussi Hirvelä.
The modernisation of Senate Group’s IT infrastructure includes a service solution encompassing 800 workstations and 700 mobile phones.
Netox will also provide the company with data centre and telecommunications service solutions and security operations centre (SOC) services for cybersecurity.
A seamless IT and cybersecurity package
Senate Group consists of the parent company Senate Properties and the subsidiary Defence Properties Finland, which looks after the premises of the Finnish defence administration. The group manages almost 9,000 government buildings and related facilities.
Safety and ensuring continuity of operations in all circumstances are extremely important to the group’s operations.
“When we build IT and cybersecurity as a seamless whole and carry out monitoring and maintenance 24/7, the flow of information and responsibilities remain clear. This way, we are able to deliver high quality services in a cost-effective way,” says Lahokoski.
From its beginnings, Netox has been a pioneer in Finland in protecting and maintaining state-of-the-art, safety-critical systems. Key industry standards including ISO 27000 and ISO 9001 have been at the heart of Netox’s operations for over a decade now.
The continuity of Netox’s services is guaranteed even in exceptional circumstances.
“Our partnership with the most demanding cybersecurity operators enables us to meet the quality requirements of critical operators such as Senate Properties.”
