Netox is looking for IT experts to drive its growth who are ready to take on responsibility as decision-makers within the company as well.
Netox Oy is set to recruit at least 30 new employees this year. The company succeeded in major tendering processes in 2024, ensuring a growth trajectory at least until 2026.
Netox was selected as the provider for IT and cybersecurity overhauls for organizations such as the City of Turku, Senate Properties, Apotti Oy, and Pharmaca.
“We achieved several major wins in 2024. Our growth prospects are strong, which now enables us to hire dozens of new professionals,” says Mikko Pöyry, Director of Netox’s IT services.
Netox’s turnover grew by 24% to €30 million in 2024. The company currently employs approximately 140 people in Helsinki and Oulu.
Netox is looking for roles such as production and product managers, Azure lead architects, as well as cyber, information security, and network specialists.
“We have the opportunity to offer exciting client projects that combine IT and cybersecurity services. Our ability to deliver high-quality IT solutions with services and integrate information and cybersecurity solutions into these packages ensures a seamlessly constructed IT solution for clients, complete with support and training services.”
Netox will launch recruitments during the spring.
Decision-making authority for the benefit of the client and one’s own work
Netox seeks IT professionals who have the desire and ability to make decisions and influence the direction of a growth company, while also taking on the responsibility that comes with decision-making authority.
“Organizational growth requires rethinking decision-making practices to avoid creating unnecessary bottlenecks. In growth companies, the typical pitfall is to concentrate power and responsibility on the CEO or management team, leaving those who often have the essential information for decisions outside the decision-making process,” Pöyry observes.
Netox aims to create a modern structure that enables decentralized decision-making, increasing the authority and responsibility of its personnel.
“Decentralized decision-making will be implemented at all organizational levels. We want to give more power and responsibility to those who usually have the best knowledge of the current situation, necessary changes, and areas for improvement,” Pöyry explains.
Focusing on results instead of micromanagement
The cornerstone of Netox’s strategy is the ability of its personnel and teams to solve customer problems quickly and sustainably. How the solutions and results are achieved is up to the decisions of the teams and experts.
“We want to encourage our personnel to act boldly, to see opportunities instead of merely avoiding mistakes, and to commit to achieving results, including through leadership. We have the ability to make decisions on the spot that ensure the efficiency of our own work and the benefit of the client without needing approval from top management. At Netox, you can freely use your expertise and decision-making ability for the benefit of the client, and that is also rewarded.”
Spreading power and responsibility within the organization also requires unified criteria to evaluate the work and decisions of the personnel. According to Pöyry, Netox’s management system emphasizes results and impact rather than the number of billable hours an expert logs daily.
“All our evaluations of work quality start with the client. Did the client receive what they ordered, and was the solution delivered as promised?”, Pöyry explains.
“We believe the best decisions are based on the insights of our experts. Instead of preparing a proposal for me on a necessary decision or efficiency-enhancing procurement, I prepare a proposal on how we can best achieve our shared goals.”
